Concrete retaining wall with stucco.
Damaged concrete repaired.
How to stucco a concrete wall.

Send pictures to Jay or myself at our sites below for immediate bids.

This video explains how to install stucco over any concrete wall and create new stucco corners.
Remember, this same method can be used for stucco over block or brick walls.
It can also be used for interior plastering.
We also show making a corner out of stucco with a 2 by 4,
Note that stucco netting is unnecessary for concrete brick or block walls. In fact, it’s counter-productive.

In this episode, I thought it would be fun to explain, with the help of this video, how to stucco over concrete or even block or brick walls, plus explain how to create or build new stucco corners with skill and plastering trowels instead of attaching corner aid. Enjoy.

Before I arrived, my son, Jason, pressure-washed the wall and applied a bonding agent.
I plastered a stucco corner on.

Thanks for watching.

Hey Kirk! Thank you, you have done a great job showing people (me) for many years to come how to do this properly. Some kid 75 years from now will still watch this video on their hologram watch to learn from you. Thank you for your dedication to learning this craft and your contribution to history.

I don't really have a fascination with plastering, but, Kirk, you're so great to listen to that I love watching these. The stories along the way are wonderful. Thank you so much for making them. Peace.

I HAVE stucco that needs work... and, as they say, there is a YouTube video for everything. That being said, this guy is a crack up to watch. He is easy to understand. He explains things for us "weekend warriors" in a way that we can grasp. His instructions do not leave anything out... and he is freaking funny. AND, he is local to me. I get a kick out of watching him work on YT in areas that I pass all the time.

It is impossible to describe the generosity with which you share your knowledge.  I watch these videos to improve my hobby skills.  You have turned it into a passion for me.  Your practical knowledge of materials is unbelievable.    Thank you.  Raphael

I just spent 19 minutes of my life watching a guy work on a concrete wall and repair a corner. I don't have concrete walls or corners to repair yet I enjoyed all 19 minutes.

Learning to work with your hands and the skills needed take years, decades and sometimes a lifetime yet we celebrate Bankers and Hedge Fund managers and look down on the more talented human beings like this man who actually BUILD things. Good work!

Thank you again, Kirk. I came back to this video to refresh myself ready for when I attempt my own rendering on all the block work I've been building around my garden. I've got a few retaining walls, a couple of raised flower beds and a small soak pool to render up. I've never done it before but I am really looking forward to it. Prior to starting my garden renovation I had never even so much as stuck two blocks together on my own and now I'm loving it. Once you get the "feel" for how materials behave it's very addictive lol.

Keep up the great work you guys and thank you for making these videos. What I like most about your videos is that you take the time to explain everything in an easy to follow, down to earth way. You don't make assumptions like some people do where they show you what they're doing but don't explain everything leading up to that point and why they did what they did. Your videos are very versatile and connect with people of all skill levels from a novice like me to someone skilled looking to improve their work.

Great stuff! Thank you!

As a teacher myself, I am so amazed and even humbled by how well and generously you share what you know. The people who have worked for you must come out the other end at the top of their game. Thank you from a weekend warrior!

This has to be the best (in terms of clarity) AND the most entertaining building trades video I've ever seen.  Curt should be an actor!

Well... as I stated on one of your other videos, I recently got 2 old houses in the high desert that need a fair amount of patching. Because of you, I'm doing things the right way the first time. Anyone that saves me time, frustration and money is good in my book. Thanks!
