Creedence Clearwater Revival - I Put A Spell On You

#CCR Creedence Clearwater Revival is undeniably one of the greatest rock bands of all time, with an instantly recognizable, raw, bayou sound, popularized in songs like "Proud Mary" and "Green River”. Since their formation in the 1960s, CCR has sold over 50 million records, while their songs remain in heavy rotation on the radio.

Though the band only released 7 studio albums in their too-short career, Creedence had an astonishing track record: eight consecutive gold singles ("Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," "Down on the Corner," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Up Around the Bend," "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?") and eight consecutive gold albums. With music that sounds as fresh and compelling today as it did 30 years ago, CCR is one of a handful of bands whose entire body of work has attained true "classic" status.

My favorite album of all time. I was born during Khmer Rouge era, and we crossed the border to Thailand and our family stayed in camp. My brother got a job in Bangkok working for UN being a translator. He came home to camp on the weekend and he got ccr greatest hit. He would listen to ccr and I fell in love with the music and even though I was about 8 years old in 1983 and I don’t even understand any English, I would sing to the whole about without knowing the words. Wow brings back so much memories.

Fogerty grabs you by the shirt, pulls you into his face and doesn't let go for four and a half minutes. One of the most ferocious recordings of all time.

There are new versions from different artists singing this song but no one has John Fogerty's awesome voice. This is the BEST version!

I love classic rock. Great memories (50 years ago) blasting their music on the radio while we drove on the freeway late at night!

I used to play in a cover band years ago., there was a rich dude who would come in and request "Proud Mary" he'd lay a C-Note in my hand go sit down get right back up and request it again while laying another C-Note in my hand~! One night the dude did it 6 times in a row. Thanks dude~!

Everyone's mesmerized by the searing vocal and cut-to-the-bone lead guitar work by Fogerty, as they should be, but listen to that sheetrock bass, can-you-top-this rhythm guitar, and the drum fills. Truly the sum-of-the-parts greater than the individual efforts.

The drumming from Doug Clifford is excellent on this song! More people need to talk about it!

I haven't sat down and listened to CCR in years. Have You Ever Seen the Rain was on the radio at work as I was clocking out and I'm just gonna listen to CCR all day

Best version of the song. (They did it their way, and they did Screamin' Jay proud.) Loved the scene in the film "Saint Laurent" that utilizes CCR's recording. Mesmerizing.

with this song.... CCR tore our hearts out of our chest (like the Aztecs) and served it back to us, hot and steaming, on a fork

There's a ton of different versions of this song that can go in the trashcan. The original and this one just hit different.
