When I was a young girl my parents wanted to buy property in the mid 60s in Aspen. Every year we would visit Colorado and they'd repeat how it would be nice to own in Aspen!! Gee I'd would of inherited millions. Lol

Even if I had the financial means, I would NEVER pay those prices. They’re very nice and in a nice area but extremely ordinary. All one is purchasing, imho, are “bragging rights” to the fact you’ve got money. However, to each their own. Your money, your way.

These prices are not meant to buy the houses they are for owing the land which is why expensive. It is same in Atherton California

The only people that are surprised aren’t from here. Aspen is the most expensive place to live other than Telluride. There are 10 million dollar houses in Denver.

This is insane!!! Where I live you can have a mansion under a million! Very nice homes (even new builds) are a 200-300, 000. 😅

Aspen and Snowmass village are places like no other in all USA . This is really the paradise on earth, no crime, ultra security, best of the best public school, free transportations everywhere and Snowmass has ski slops comparable to the best ones in France and Switzerland . The offer will never meet demand. This market is not reflective of anything else over the country and not comparable neither .

Born and raised, left and moved back. Aspen is overwhelming, overrated and over priced these days. The worst part they have proven as a community they prefer to euthanize a mother bear and four cubs vs relocating knowing its hyperactive feeding behaviors THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! This family of bears broke into some ignorant humans homes that were NOT BEAR PREPARED AND SHOULD BE SITED FOR BEARS DEATH IS ON THEM!! Tourism should be a drive thru at most, there is so manymore beautiful examples to experience. Heck if you want over pricedmountains, hot springs and view GO TO STEAM BOAT or better take a chance and visit some of our smaller cities and towns. One of my favorites is Saguach, CO and the lost goes on but Aspen has hit a record low with euthanizing an entire family of bears....zero coexistence in Aspen of humanoids.
