California already has a gun registration database through the California DOJ whenever you buy any firearm in California. When a 4473 is filled out, the FFL runs a background check through the California DOJ and the Feds. Once you're approved, the arms you buy are added to the California DOJ database, and after your waiting period, you can pick up your property. Exercising your 2nd Amendment in California is heavily infringed!!!

But of course, with registration, there’ll be a FEE, and probably a LIABILITY INSURANCE requirement…how else will California meet its budget deficit?

The Supreme Court has struck down similar laws, reasoning that “a state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal Constitution.” - Murdock v. Pennsylvania, 319 U.S. 105 (1943)

“…the right to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” is pretty damned clear!
