New California gun laws go into effect in 2024

Beginning January 1st, dozens of laws will go into effect across California. One of those laws is SB 2 which regulates gun permits. Russell Stuart, president of Force Protection Agency, discusses the new gun laws.

The Republic of California can make law after law about guns, ammo, eligibility to purchase, carry etc.etc. The bottom line criminals will always have guns. I was born and lived in California for 63 years. I left California in June of this year for a right to carry state and have never felt safer out in public or at home.

Meanwhile in AZ you can purchase firearms at a swap meet.... :) Firearms exist and always will, making it harder for "law abiding citizens" to defend themselves while knowing criminals will never participate in following the laws and always get whatever firearms they want, is asinine

SB2 does not "advance safety". Safe storage laws were banned in Heller. We have a right to have easy, and immediate access to a working gun, for immediate self defense in the home. Bruen makes all these kinds of gun bans unconstitutional!

Well when a criminal shoots an unarmed victim, the legal system gets paid and the healthcare system gets paid. So many institutions profit from such scenarios. But, when everyone protects themselves, these institutions dont really profit.

In California politicians legalize undocumented immigrants to be hired for law enforcement. Then can carry a badge and gun and arrest citizens, however legal citizens are restricted to protect themselves from rampant crime.

The "sensitive places" portion of this law had an injunction against it granted by a judge. It won't go into effect until a final ruling is made late next year, at which time they may invalidate all of SB2 since it's entirely unconstitutional.
