A ten day waiting period for a first time gun buyer is not that unreasonable. If a person already has a firearm the waiting period does not make sense.

I'm an unarmed security guard in CA. There's a special class you have to take and a special licensing required in order to go armed.(also a ton of rules in that like you can only open carry while on duty at post)

Do I need a Valid drivers license or Real ID card to buy a pistol in California? Can I purchase with a registration to a car, passport, and birth certificate only?

Anyone who defends the 10-day waiting period obviously doesn't live in a real situation where they actually need a firearm because I need one right now but I have to wait 10 days even though the intruders who have shot at and my shed and burglarized me I a tax paying citizen who abides by the law I'm not allowed to get a weapon to defend myself within the next 10 days so if in the next 10 days those people come back with their weapons that they already have I will have no way to defend myself because I will have no firearms to combat their firearms anyone trying to justify this obviously doesn't live miles away from the police station and miles and miles away from the nearest neighbor I literally live in the middle of nowhere and these gun laws are actually affecting my safety they're not protecting me they're putting my life at risk
