I've only done lat pulldowns for the last months and they are insane. I think my back is the best part of my body but I keep working on my lower lats so the look as big as they can

Single arm, supported, lat pull downs are goated.

Single arm cable pulldowns are my absolute fav. The cable row machine is also nice for Lats or other back muscles depending on how it’s used.

I just did my first men’s physique competition in June and my lats are my weak point. I’m working hard to get them to grow!

It's true. Genetics really is a thing. Just like how some guys are 5'6" and some are 6'2". Some people are genius's and some are umm... not so smart. Same thing goes for building muscle and muscle insertions. Like for me, I have insanely strong triceps, big triceps and I literally do no isolation work for them (Casey does some for his lats, I do literally none for my triceps) but my chest however, does not want to grow at all. I thought my legs were bad but I think my chest is the worst for me unfortunately. Then legs and more so specifically calves.

Same way with traps for me. I never really do trap specific exercises, but my traps are really nice. But my forearms are like

The weighted pull-up arc will go crazy

My back responded really well to training. I think big muscle groups are just easier to build because you can typically go heavier on them so taking sets to failure is easier. I do heavy bent over rows and lat pull downs. Three variations on the pull downs; neutral grip, reverse grip, and wide grip. Even training them once a week I blew up. I had NO back prior to training. Took me maybe a year to build up a decent back. Conversely, my biceps and rear delts are a struggle to build up at all despite trying many variations with different weights, volume, and frequency.

You're doing all you need to... Most folks overtrain and undertrain at the same time

Felt this i genuinely like having a big back naturally cause then it give the excuse to let you walk with your arms flared out a little 😭
