What do you think about the lack of transparency? Should there be a law passed to put these things in writing?

They should definitely make it a law to stop the deceiving commerce.
And also shouldn't let them use the word Medicaid in their plans...maybe something else like Replacement Advantage.
Thanks for sharing!

In WA state, if a person was on Medicare Advantage for a few years and decides to apply for a supplement plan during the annual enrollment period - and was accepted, will that person have guarantee issue rights for the following years?

I think they need to be transparent about advantage plan cons.

I have original Medicare. If I need dental and vision, is it best to get Medicare advantage or what do you recommend?

I'm thinking of getting a bcbs of nc advantage plan. the lower premium and also the fact that i could cancel the dental and vision insurance I am currently paying for is a big incentive. I have had bcbs for over thirty years and have never had a problem with them. are there any hidden problems i should know about with bcbs . And yes that sort of thing should be transparent

I have been watching a lot of Medicare videos and I really like your videos a lot more than most of the others. I was wondering if you handle the State Farm medigap or is that through State Farm Brokers only. I don't really want to work with a broker that only deals with one company only. I like the idea have having a choice to compare policies. If state farm is state farm broker only than I will be giving you a call soon. I saw on one of your videos that you deal with a lot of companies. I believe you said around 50.

For me, an Advantage plan would be a major disaster. With their requirements of using in-network doctors, a simple doctor's visit for me would be about a 160 mile round trip from my office or 200 mile round trip from home instead of the local doctor with only a 30 mile round trip from the office or 70 mile round trip from the house.

Looking at the numbers, there isn’t much difference between a Plan G + Plan D yearly premiums and a Medicare Advantage yearly out-of-pocket cap. While you’d have to pay the high yearly premiums for the medigap plans every year, you’d only hit the cap in certain years for the Medicare Advantage plan …. The Plan Ns aren’t much cheaper than the Plan Gs … Just seems like the MA plans are more reasonable … If you have unlimited resources, which many seniors do not because they are on SSA and maybe a small pension, an MA plan seems more realistic. Is this why Medicare Advantage plans are increasingly popular? I think I remember Kai saying his mother is on a Medicare Advantage plan.
