This guy is a storehouse of knowledge on Medicare. I have spoken to some of his employees and all that they want to do is help you. I am really impressed.

I am 77 years old and enrolled in Medicare Parts A, B, and D. I have diabetes and an enlarged prostate. On May 16 of this year, I had my Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, where blood work was done, which, as a preventive visit, should be at no cost to me. However, I received a bill for $57.31, with a note that my insurance covered only $1.83, and the pending insurance amount is $222.86. Could you please help me understand why my service provider would bill me for a preventive visit? Thank you.

Re Rick Carson's question at the end of the video. Your situation is similar to ours. Husband turns 65 in Oct, wife in January. We were both on husband's former large company's Retiree plan. In our case the husband's former company gave us no choice: they handed him off to Medicare on September 1 (his birthdate is Oct 1). Here's how they did it: while they ended the husband/wife policy, then converted wife to a new policy - just for her alone - for the remaining 4 months of 2024. Then wife starts Medicare on January 1 2025.

Need help: 65 and approved for Medicaid (is Medicaid an Advantage plan in New Mexico?) I'm waiting till Full Age retirement to collect at 67, I'll get kicked out from Medicaid because of extra $$ from possible ex-spouse benefit (Married 10 plus years). Also because of COLA $ . This will put me passed the threshold of Medicaid qualifications. QUESTION: Can I return to Original Medicare at 67 since I will collect and have my SS paid for Plan B ? Will I need underwriter approval? Or should I do what ever it takes to get a Medigap plan now in Jan 2025 till 2027 when I start collecting SS ? Thank you for all of your work.

Marvin, I will never get accustomed to paying high taxes, because I worked so hard for it 😆. Real quick on person who has to see primary and cardiology every 6 months, one of those primary visits can / should be wellness visit. So then only 3 appointments to pay for.

Question: My father-in-law recently fell and broke his hip. At some time during this time the Doctor identified some other issues via ultrasound. During this period of time he had a routine followup with his cardiologist that he got to by Medical Transport. After receiving the EOB Medicare disallowed several ultrasound tests by the cardiologist. Consequently, his Supplement G didn't cover the tests either. Is he responsible for what is not covered? Is that something to appeal?

I would like to get your opinion on why a provider just denied my AARP United Healthcare Advantage plan HMO just because the card now has a "UCard" logo on it. I've been going to this doctor for almost 3 years now. And all they can tell me is they don't accept "that" insurance card. After my appointment I called UHC and they told me it makes no sense why they suddenly didn't accept me. What do you think is really going on?.
