We Need to Talk about Genshin PRIVATE SERVER

Genshin Impact are now facing a new issues that cause player to roll for free, like literally they got infinite primogems and infinite freemogems!
they can get any character they want like Zhong li, Kazuha, Raiden, yae Miko, Itto, Venti and many more.
this problem is a private server i hope hoyoverse can resolve this problem quickly

Genshin players when their account no clips into the private server: this is where the fun begins

I feel like the private server is more like just a creative mode for Genshin where you can test out character builds and stuff. Most of the fun still lies within the original game, even if there are a crap ton of grinding, you will still get the satisfaction of all your grinds paying off after finally building a character and using it to destroy whatever abyss or new domains knowing that all of it was from your own hard work.

(but that's just my own stupid opinion, you don't have to agree with it)

I think having private servers where it's only for your self is fine. You are mostly just trying stuff and checking things out. Or even making a video for w.e reason. You'll get tired of it real quick and prob still play in the normal server.

But having a public private server I feel like should be illegal. The worse I believe is when people charge other players to play in their private servers.

I support the idea of private servers because they let you mess with the game and just test out characters, although, I think that private servers are not a replacement for normal Genshin but rather a fun gimmick.

I love using private servers to test out characters before rolling them other than that I also use private servers to explore places where i usually wouldnt be able to go to in a public server.

If they just release a $60 version for those who don't want to deal with all the micro-transactions BS then this wouldn't be a problem at all. But the reality is, Free Gacha games are much bigger gold mines than $60 packages...

It's also a great way to get photos of areas with your favorite characters so that you don't have any cases of FOMO when returning to retail.

People forget that without players (and their money) at original server, game will getting slower/less new content, by which (surprise, surprise) - any private server will also suffer.

But I'm not fully against it. Because if Hoyo would care about players feedback, there wouldn't be so many people eager to play priv.
The real question is: Will they invest money to make game better than this? Or into a fight they can't win?

I heard someone made a youtube account dedicated to posting videos in the private server. Nothing much, just swapping characters' ult and things like that. Harmless and kinda fun to watch. Unfortunately recently hoyoverse just strike them with copyright claims thus taking their channel down. Which is very unfortunate but understandable since hoyoverse themselves said it's illegal. They might not want to take any responsibilities if anything happen. I personally not really against it. If someone decided to use one maybe it's better to keep it to themselves/do it silently to avoid things like this

i feel like the private servers should be a normal option in normal genshin- an almost creative mode or sandbox mode, kind of like in minecraft. It can be more enjoyable for people to be able to try out characters they wouldn't be able to use normally. It would be good for people to try characters out to decide if they want to wish for them or not as the test run characters are often not built to their maximum potential

I play priv server, but there's always this weird feeling in me that it doesn't give the same feel as the real deal. It felt sort of fakish, and doesn't give me the same satisfaction the official servers give me.

I kept it around to try out characters, and to pull for no reason.

also quite fun to endlessly sprint around with Mona, but also boring.

yep, I only play on that server once in a while if I feel really really bored on the official servs.

When the private server is better than official server 😭.
You have everything there: skins primos, fun, online players.. etc
In the official server: daily commissions, resin then logout.

if ever genshin impact comes to an end and most if not all content has been released and the game itself is gonna be shut downed then I think private servers is a great way to continue playing it

Come on now, it's a fun sandbox mode to pass the time while resin recharges on retail. Great way to evaluate the limits of these Genshin all-star companions when there is nothing to do on retail due to being out of resin and primos.

Since there is literally no late game content right now, they really need to do smth to bring those people back. Would be also nice if you could create your own dungeons in your tea pot and complete them with your friends under the rules you choose

Ok solution:
Why not make a sandbox mode where you can do everything you can do in a private server
BUT you can’t gain primogems, make wishes on banners, level up, do quest, or talk with characters. Without these elements you still have full access to every characters full power without spending months on getting the right stuff and spending a lot of money on fulfilling that potential BUT you can’t use that power to progress in the game so you are given the chance to test out characters your way, give them artifacts with great stats or create a character that has the exact same stats as your current one but max level to see if they are worth spending materials on.

In summary:
Add a sandbox mode so people can test certain aspects of the game BUT don’t allow progression in the game or any feeling of reward

I can see the private servers showing interesting perspectives and experiments but those are about as much as I hope they intend to use them for. Truth is, things like this can also be used for far more malicious purposes and I dont want other clueless people getting involved.

Genshin Priv Server is like a creative mode of genshin. It looks cool but this game might surprass the original so it is ok if it is just available for a limited time.
