I had the same problem with the amount of characters, but luckily in the 2nd book onward there is a character list, so that helps. The character death thing...that does not fix. That's why there are so many of them.

I've read the series around a year ago so I don't exactly know what Cywen is up to in the first book but imo she is quite a badass female character
Speaking of characters; I do enjoy a lot of the characters; namely Gar, Corban, Dath and the whole lot, I forgot the rogue's name that you even mentioned😅, Veradis and Kastell and his guardian Maquin and almost everyone lol

That plot segment was super cool, I loved your choice of music! I JUST saw some comments by Murphy Naphier on this book a day or so ago and now seeing yours I definatly need to check it out. Fantasy is my favorite genre, cant pass on a good fantasy.

Ah, I've been waiting for this video. I'm appreciating more and more your separation of the likes and dislikes. The over-the-top bullying aspect sounds like something that will definitely get on my nerves by the end. I think epic fantasy often falls into the trap of cardboard characters, where so many are introduced that not even the author can distinguish between them. It stems from the idea that to make the world-building seem large you need an equally large cast. Books such as Cormac McCarthy's 'The Road' show how untrue that is.
