How To Add Pockets to Anything!

In today's video I'll be showing you how to add pockets to any item of clothing! This method will work on any item of clothing as long as it has side seams. For example: trousers, dresses, skirts and jackets!

I have added pockets to every single pair of pj bottoms and every single dress I own. Even the $120 dress I wore to my son's wedding. I also put a pocket in some of my longer shirts that I wear over leggings. I often walk with a cane so it's easier to have my phone in a pocket instead of a purse or backpack. I had to figure it out for myself via reverse engineering.

Sure wish I'd seen this a cupl years ago. Your way is a tad bit easier so will be adjusting my method to be closer to yours.

My biggest difference than yours tho is I make sure the pocket is big enuf for my phone, not necessarily my hand 😘😘😘

Well done tutorial. On many others, they either do the work in an existing garment, but it's confusing to watch and follow. Or they do it in a clearly demonstrated way, but they're using little flat scraps that are easy to lay out and don't really demonstrate the act of INSERTING a pocket where there wasn't one before. This video is best of both. Thank you for sharing.

very helpful video i ordered some cool sweat pants and when they arrived i realized they dont have pockets which is really annoying but i like them enough to just sew pockets in myself so im rlly glad to have found ur video
