I have your Lea Dress pattern and I am currently making my first draft with muslin and decided to add the Ruby pockets. I'm trying to figure out two things.
1 - When would I sew the pockets to the front/back of the dress? (Before or after I've sewn the elastic casing in the back of the dress?)

2- At 24:33 in this video you show on the Ruby shorts to sew the pockets into the waistband towards the front of the shorts. What do you recommend for the Lea dress since there is not a waist seam in the front? Do you secure the top of the pocket at all or just secure the sides?

For reference, I have determined the placement of the pockets on the pattern, which is about 7cm down from the top of the finished elastic casing.

Anything you can share would be helpful! Thanks your videos have been so great and fun to follow.
