Another great way to use these 2 awesome cleaners is if you are like me and can't afford to buy new mattresses every time something gets spilled on them, this is a easy way to make your bed look and smell like almost new, without getting your mattress soaked. Also vinegar kills dust mites or any other kind of mites that might have taken up residency in your mattress. Its better than using harse chemicals and its cheap.

Try a mix of dawn. Alcohol and water in a spray. This can work as well

Ironically, the baking soda and vinegar combo for cleaning does NOT work. The two cancel each other out when combined, so the cleaning power of each is basically neutralized when mixed. The only thing you’ll see is the foaming reaction that happens, but it won’t clean anything.

Mix some Borax and foaming dawn in with the mixture let it sit for an hour or two depending on how bad the smell and stains are. I always use a brush or some sort to get it all mixed into the carpet and then when time is up I’ll use the brush again to loosen it up because it gets wet and clumps so the second brushing will loosen it all back up and then suck it up with vacuum. I know banking soda and vinegar are a very traditional method of cleaning for just about any and everything and it’s always worked decent for me but when I add the other two it’s worked magic. Also ammonia is a miracle cleanser. I don’t know chemistry very well so I don’t ever mix the ammonia with anything but water and it works just as good as all four of those together if not better.
