Steve, oh man, thank you sooo much for saving my Ralph Lauren Sheets! I sprayed spray & wash stain remover onto the sheets and forgot them in the washer for 4 days and forgot to start up the washer! Upon going back to the Laundry Room, I found the sheets with mildew and a massive amount of stains! I started to throw away the sheets until I found your video. I first used a cup of vinegar to handle the mildew; then used YOUR 3:1 ratio solution
and washed the sheets 3 times but that didn't quite do it, BUT CLOSE! So I changed the ratio to 1:1 and let it sit onto the sheets overnight and YEAH ME! STAINS ARE ALL GONE! Much thanks!

I'm gonna try this on my carpeted stairs. I think you should mention though, that Hydrogen peroxide is light sensitive, so if you want to keep a supply of your mixture on hand it would be best to keep it in a non-translucent spray bottle.

Great video & information, thank you! Especially for those that are learning still, as adults 😊 You can also add a small amount of liquid blue dawn to your washing machine for white clothes! I don't measure but I do just a small squeeze... Probably a teaspoon to tablespoon depending on load size.... And it whitens whites great! And contrary to belief, it doesn't create bubbles like one would think, like in the movies 😅

The carpet cleaner really works. I have used it a few years now after I got the recipe from your web site. I didn’t think of using it on laundry but I’ll give it a try as well. Thanks for all your helpful tips.

Also, please remember to NOT put a soiled item in the dryer, if the stain was not removed yet. Either let it air dry, or treat it again while still wet.

I have used Blue Dawn straight from the bottle let it sit use a soft toothbrush and put in wash . Works Great.

I have used this since I first found it on your website. It works great. Everyone I tell about it loves it. Stain removers are so pricey. A lot of times I soak the stain after treatment. This almost always gets the stain out.

I looked up to see what was the nearest equivalent to Dawn dish soap in the UK. Apparently it is Fairy Liquid, as they are made by the same company, Procter and Gamble. Only Fairy Liquid is usually green! (Or yellow for lemon-scented. ☺️)

This is a great idea I’m doing a science experiment with my daughter and wanted to know what percentage hydrogen peroxide you used we will definitely be trying this out!😀

Really helped on my carpet in my guest room/ office / craft room - which had drips of watercolor spattered hither and yon. On carpet. Ugh. But after the first go round I'd say some of these old stains are 70% better. I'll keep at them!

I get spots out of clothes with nothing more than cold water and whatever bar soap I've got at the sink. It works incredibly well on everything from food stains including berries to blood and grease. Occasionally a stain won't budge so I simply fill the sink with cold water with a little soap, rub the bar soap on the stain and let it soak for an hour. When I return it's always gone, works every time!

I have heard that hydrogen peroxide breaks down if light gets to it. That's why it always comes in a brown bottle. Walmart sells it in a little spray bottle too so you can use that.
