Thanks for this. I can't get enough of sermons about Calvinism. It's crept into a lot of churches and is very subtle. I just spoke to a die hard Calvinist. We gave him many verses, Jn 3.16 one of the many, that say we need to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved and that we have free will, that it's a choice to accept or reject Christ. He said the word "believe" actually means "to trust" when you go to the Greek (they're actually two different meanings), his logic was that satan also believes! He quotes from every book except for the bible - he quotes from Spurgeon, Macarthur, Sproule and the "church fathers". He was emphatic that we need to look into church history - to the church fathers - which apparently "is what the Bereans did", which we corrected and said that they searched the SCRIPTURES! I actually googled church history and it goes back to Constantine and Augustine, right up to Calvin and Luther, leading directly to Macarthur and Washer et al, and they're all reformed Catholics really! He said the King James bible was translated by people who weren't Christians yet his church history is filled with false prophets and wicked unbelieving men who worship a different god from the God of our Bible.

1 Tim 2 is definitely a passage that traditional Calvinists simply don’t get. If the mentions of “all” at least refers to all that are in authority without exception consistently, then since we know Universalism is false, it’s irrefutable that Christ is the mediator for even the authorities that will end up in hell, hence Christ died for both elect and non-elect persons.

The only way a Calvinist can get around this passage is to either change the wording or say that the meanings of “all” are being changed up in the passage so as to not contradict Limited Atonement. So either you have to become a Bible corrupter or refuse to do consistent exegesis of 1 Tim 2 in order for Limited Atonement to stand.

What’s funny is that at 45:15, he describes hell as being “outer darkness” and “fire, ” but he says John 15’s punishment for those who don’t bear fruit is a lack of reward, not hell. However, if you keep reading John 15:1-8, you’ll see that the punishment is the exact same description as hell. When Jesus says someone is thrown into the fire, he’s referring to hell (cf. Matthew 13:40-42). Therefore, those who don’t produce fruit were never saved and will do to hell.

Someone make him read Galatians 5, which says fruit is works, 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, which says only those who continually stand in the gospel and are being saved are true Christians, Hebrews 10:27-30, which says those who continually willfully sin are going to hell, and James 2:14-17, which says faith that doesn’t produce works isn’t saved.

Is the God you worship ok with you calling someone a homo? The God of the Bible does not condone such behavior. We are to speak evil of no man and not to be a respecter of persons.

James 2:8-9
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Titus 3:2
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

Ephesians 4:31
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
