Another thing I've noticed is how Jade is seen as a freak because of her love for strange and creepy things, and Cat is seen as weird because of strange things she does and mild craziness. Maybe because of this, not many people accepted them, so they could bond over it, and eventually became best friends.

Their dynamic really is like no other from the show. I actually wasn’t thinking about how Jade might be influencing Cat without either of them knowing. Jade also gives Cat so much approval throughout the duration of the show that may make Cat feel even safer and closer. I loved the video man

I'm glad you mentioned how Jade was borderline abusive to Cat. That part of their relationship always bothered me. Jade helping Cat get more of a backbone is and Jade having a soft spot for her/not just tolerating her was actually really sweet. I never noticed that before. Nice video as always!

I think it's real simple actually: Jade's a cynic and Cat helps take the edge off because of her pure hearted simplicity. The worse she can do is something dumb but Jade can always trust her not to be intentionally malicious, and to her that's worth everything

I would like to point out that Ariana and Liz were both in the Original Broadway cast of 13 (the Musical), so off screen they've worked together before and most likely came into Victorious being close friends. Obviously not every show works with pre-existing dynamics co-stars might have, but here I think it was something that was though about when it came to Jade and Cat's interactions and what type of friendship these 2 characters would have.
