It seems Hollywood everyman Dick Richards knows no bounds. This time, we find Dick back at Universal Studios in the 90s on the heels of the massive success of Jurassic Park, and the beginnings of a movie franchise behemoth.

Before Jurassic World and a time riddled with movie sequels and multi-platform cinematic universe commercial conglomerates, there was just the Jurassic Park movie, and the.. idea of a sequel. That pivotal moment when Jurassic Park went from one awesomely original spectacular movie, into another cinematic blockbuster franchise. Except, unlike other story rich movie franchises, like Marvel or Star Wars, with plenty of material to explore through sequels or a movie trilogy, Jurassic Park just really didn't have much more of a reason to make a sequel other than to sell exclusive dinosaur toys. But, dollar signs are dollar signed, and Dick Richards knows a golden dinosaur-sized goose egg when he sees one, so thus spawned Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
