The Church is the body of Christ, yet often there seems to be a lack of unity among the different parts. Can we find unity despite our differences?

I really like it when he said. Be sure to read the word of God, and interpret it as it is. Don't reinterpret it that fits your wants.

Power of interpretation comes from the HOLY SPIRIT. Pray that we will read the scriptures with the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT so that we can unanimously agree on the WORD OF GOD.

And I would add we are more divided today than ever before. As a nation and in our churches. It is disappointing for sure as we look around us. But Jesus did say: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." I think that is a passage we all can agree on-no matter what denomination you belong to.

there may be many denominations but it pains me to see any one of them forgetting God and feuding with one another on whom is the most correct denomination. we're all worshiping for the same God we need to love one another.

It is not the stories - the parables and the narrative - that create as many differences of opinion as do the various applications of doctrine & theology. There are many reasons denominations form - some have grown out of a need to steer back to the truth, others develop from a desire to highlight a certain doctrine... what keeps the Church working as one body is our one foundation - Jesus Christ. His life, death, & resurrection mean freedom from sin and life forever.

I agree, as long as we all, as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, agree with the main messages of the scriptures then everyone will have certain personal understanding of certain passages that should be debated.
