Honorable mention: the Godmaster endings in Hollow Knight. Both require beating the sadistic Pantheon of Hallownest boss rush, and the second requires you to bring a Delicate Flower to the Godseeker(as if delivering it from the Grey Mourner to the Queen's Gardens wasn't already hard enough).

I'd say Undertale's Genocide run is significantly harder than the Pacifist run. San's boss fight is insane

I love how the butterfly effect is implemented in games like these. One decision could literally change the ending of a game, and sometimes you don’t know if you’re making the right choice or not.

Corpse Party’s Chapter 5 True Ending. It can easily go wrong right at the outset if you let Yuka get caught by Kizami. Also, finding and choosing the right items to appease Sachiko, making sure to count CORRECTLY how many times you chant, AND escaping the school before the bell tolls seven times.

Actually, in Sekiro, the hardest ending to obtain is Dragon's Return. I won't spoil it but it is very rewarding

After Reading the title I knew NieR Automata is gonna be the part of it.
Glory to the crazy endings of the game. 😊

One super hard ending I found really satisfying to get is the Triangle Strategy Seranoa Ending in Wolfort Castle. Obtaining this ending not only requires you to choose the correct pathway through a game that uses a conviction system to allow you access to certain maps, but it also requires you to beat certain maps without utilizing map gimmicks to make those maps more manageable. For instance, in certain maps where you have access to traps that can destroy large chunks of the enemies, you have to go out of your way not to trigger those traps. You also have to pay attention to clues you get in a very text heavy story in order to figure out the answers to a final test before you can choose into the ending maps for the most difficult route in the game. Only then, will you get a version of the ending cutscene that takes place in Seranoa's home of Wolfort Castle as opposed to the Royal Castle of Glenbrook.

I remember beating Mass Effect 2 and saving everyone and it was hard. Once playing multiple times, it is easy for me

Pacifist Ending for Undertale was easy for me to get as I pretty much decided not kill anyone.

Good ending in Cave Story is a pretty difficult challenge but getting this ending is worth it.

9:46 fun fact, Letting Jacob die in vents is still considered “saving everyone”. He’s not worth saving imo

How can the Payday 2 secret ending not be on this list? The sheer lunacy that must be accomplished to unlock it makes more than worthy

Took a lot of hours to get to the final story in shadow the hedgehog but I had a blast playing through it all

Seeing Valkyrie Profile getting a nod on this list pleases me. Getting ending A was a task that took me forever. Finding the secret boss was pure blind luck. The curse of the PS1 era that corrupted save files on your memory card also meant potentially losing your progress. 😢😢😢

This took me so many days to beat Arkham Knight with so much amount of luck. Guess I am the Gamer that Gotham deserves, right?

Jet Force Gemini is insane. You have to search all the stages to find parts for the ship. And one of those parts can only be obtained if you save all the glass cannon tribals in every stage. (I think even Rare realized saving all the tribals was bs since the chief aplogizes in advance for putting you through this). I dont know how anyone is going to find all that shit without a strategy guide or YT playthrough. Even after that you have to go through the final stage culminating in one of the hardest final boss fights outside of the Soulsborne games. I'm pretty satisfied I did do it myself but again I could only do it because I had the strategy guide and even then I refuse to do it again.

All of that ghosts n goblins stuff was bad enough, but in my opinion, the worst part is either losing the weapon that was your bread and butter to something worse. Enemy patterns and all that were tricky too but losing the knife was heartbreaking
