Trellis could cost upto $30 per piece. I made two trellis for $7.50. These Trellises are very easy and cheap to make. They are sturdy and would not topple over. Plus these trellis fir inside a 4 foot wide raised bed and are high enough to provide a lot for space for plants to climb.

I just love your short, to the point videos. I am forced to skip over so many wonderful content creators because their videos are just too long. With you I can get so much knowledge and watch multiple videos while I wait for my kids in the car loop. Thank you Sir! We truly appreciate you!❤

I have been racking my brain every year to build an affordable trellis for my cucumbers and pumpkins and never accomplished it...thank you for this wonderful idea. I will improve it for heavier weight.

I made this trellis over the weekend using jute instead of crochet thread. As soon as the rain stops, I’m going to place it in the garden. Thanks for such a cool and helpful video!

First of all, great job. I am going to do this for my sweet potatoes. A couple of suggestions. Wood is weakest in longitudinal shear so putting fasteners into the end grain is not recommended. I would recommend triangular plywood corners at the top. You can fasten the two pieces together and get sway bracing at the same time. With a jig saw or router, you could even cut an arch shaped piece for the corner. That would look nice. Takes a little more time.
Also, at 2:20, you are putting a screw into the end grain of that horizontal piece. Instead, bring that horizontal piece over on the side of the upright and put the screw into side grain of the upright. That will hold much better. Thank you for listening.

Very smart. I like how you construct so that any adjustments or repairs can be made and the frame stays intact. Really great video

Brilliant logic and simplicity. A one-person job. Cotton string cheap and fast autumn cleanup. You sir, have the hands of a doctor, a carpenter, and green thumbs😁

This is a great idea. I've just moved and looking at trellising ideas. Even if you have to replace the cotton string every year, it looks simple and easy.

Great tip about using string that can be composted.

Thanks for taking the time to build and tell Jag. I built my own trellis this weekend following your specs. I made some adjustments; I used 5 boards instead of 4 since my bed is wider, and used "L" brackets to brace the cross-bars and give the trellis more strength. It came out great, I wish I could upload some pics.

Brilliant. We could use jute twine for heavier vegetables like torai (luffa) and Karela (bitter melon).

After watching your video, I decided to follow your directions and make one for myself. It turned out great! I used vegetable trellis netting, because I already had some. The only thing I would recommend is to use a heavy duty staple gun to staple and secure the braces in the corners. Then, if you are building this by yourself, it makes drilling the pilot holes & inserting the screws easier. I also used a staple gun to secure the netting around the frames. Took a lot less time. Thanks for the design!

Really, really useful video. The trellis is attractive and using cotton thread makes sense when it comes to composting. The redwood stakes another sensible suggestion. Thank you for showing me how.
