You are such delightful person to listen to even though i’m not a good cook. You just make everything so appealing and you want to attempt it all. May Almighty God bless you in all of your endeavors so that the “CRICK” never rises☺️. I read that spelling in one of your viewers comments but I to have heard it pronounced that way all my life. 🥰

I use to watch my wife’s grandmother make this back in the 1980s when she was alive, and it was fantastic!

I used to make peanut brittle a lot when my children were young. I didn't have a thermometer so I would drop the candy mixture in ice water. When it would harden after it's dropped in the water, I knew that it was ready for the peanuts and almost done.

My husband’s grandfather used to share peanut brittle with him as a child. I’ve tried to find peanut brittle for him from our local candy shops as a Christmas gift with no luck. Thank you for teaching me how to make it myself. It will a really special gift for him this Christmas. ❤

I miss my Nanny's homemade treats like peanut brittle. She also made "divinity'' but this was my favorite. Thank you for sharing!

I've been afraid to make peanut brittle for over 50 years! After watching this video, I need to go to the store for peanuts; want to make it tomorrow!!! Thank you for the needed encouragement, Ms. Pam. God bless you.

Thanks Pam! That brings back great memories when, every fall-winter, Mom would allow my brother amd I to help her make candy, cookies, banana bread, and fruit cakes. We would then help her put these in trays, wrap with plastic wrap, ribbon and bow and give them out to friends and family for Christmas. It's just what we did back then instead of spending lots of money in stores. Besides, although there weren't a lot of left overs, there are many memories that will last much longer. ❤

My high school chemistry teacher used peanut brittle for a science experiment on the last class before Christmas vacation. I still remember that after 50 years.

Yes when I pour my brittle, I have learned the difference in not spreading at all, just shifting the pan some which gives you a brittle that is not flat and hard/glass-like.
