How Long Was Boba Fett Stuck Inside the Sarlacc - Star Wars Explained #Shorts

People have been asking me how long Boba Fett was stuck in the sarlacc pit before burning and digging his way out. According to a Star Wars Legends reference guide called Boba Fett’s Armor: An Essential Guide to a Walking Weapon, Fett’s helmet was able to seal itself, and had a reserve air tank that could last up to two hours. We see in the show that air becomes his primary concern once regaining consciousness in the sarlacc, so he was probably stuck inside for a maximum length of two hours.

If that's the case then it's pretty amusing that as Boba was suffering in the Sarlaac and getting his ass kicked by Jawas and Tuskens, the events of Return of the Jedi took place.

which also means he was with the tuskens for over five years, to coincide with the events of the mandalorian and him rescuing fennec. which seems like a long time.

I'd argue that if he was unconcious that it might've been longer as he'd be using less oxygen

I think it’s fair to say Jabbas sail barge Crashed in the morning and Boba escaped by the evening just before sunset so that the Jawas can arrive and loot him.

Also a deleted scene from return of the Jedi shows Luke, Han and Leia getting into the falcon in a tatooine sand storm after the Battle, so it’s probably the same sandstorm as the one the Sand people found Boba in.

Since the Mandalorian season one started about 5 years after ROTJ and he appeared in season 2 Bobas time with the tuskens would be more than 5 years.
I didnt think about it earlier and watching the show it felt like he was only weeks with the tuskens maybe 1 or 2 months.

I believe the sand storm that we see the Tusken's in when they find him is supposed to be the same sand storm from the deleted scene of the Luke and crew leaving Tatooine. If that's the case then he probably wasn't there for that long.

I think Fett was in there longer than two hours since he was gasping for air and had to get it from what was left of that Stormtrooper.

Boba Fett was even more lucky for the armor to be from Beskar with greater protection, the Stormtrooper was not so lucky 😄

We can only guess how long Fett was in the Sarlacc. Jabba’s Sail Barge appears to still be smoking when he climbs out. So, it could not have been for any extended length of time.

I vaguely remember that sarlacc keep there victims alive while digesting them. Witch means those who get devoured suffer for sometimes decades. But that was before disney so i don’t know the lore now and i could be wrong altogether.

In Legends I think the Sarlacc kept you alive for 1, 000 years as it digested you so it could fit with C3PO's dialogue, but by the looks of it that's not true anymore. I don't mind it, honestly.

that's not accounting for how long it took him to burn and crawl his way out, which could have anywhere from 12 minutes to 12 hours

Well the Sarlacc seems to preserve its victims so they’ll be digested for a thousand years

Boba may have been in hibernation for a few years, slowly depleting his oxygen supply, waking up maybe a year or two after the air ran out and he had to use corpse of Sandtrooper, who was trapped since New Hope to regain air

I find it hard to believe that what we are seeing is Jabba's burnt and destroyed barge only 2 hrs after it had exploded. No residual fire or smoke at all from the wreckage. Seems very unlikely.

They give you the answer in the show. The sail barge is still smoking when he crawls out.

It could have been a few more hours, because you supposedly use less oxygen while you're unconscious.
