Also, to make this relationship even sweeter, in real life during the filming of episode 2, their actors referred to each other as father and son while on set to help get into character. That fact just makes me smile.

Honestly, I wish Book of Boba would have followed this story. It makes much more sense now why Jabba’s palace (and by proxy tatooine) actually meant something to him. The book his father gave him led him there, and with Mandalore and everything else lost to him, giving up Mos Espa would in effect he surrendering the last remnants of his identity.
