Only reason why this doesn’t make sense to me is that the mandalorian takes place 5 years after ROTJ. So what has boba been doing for 5 years straight, cuz no way he’s been with the tuskens for 5 years.

I imagine it was probably closer to 2-4 hours. He would know how to ration his oxygen to last longer. Also in legends he got stuck in that thing like 4 or 5 times so he's had practice.

If you read " Tales of Jabbas Palace" he was down there for weeks because his armor kept him from being digested and the Sarrlac himself considered him interesting. The Sarrlac became sentient after eating a Jedi a few centuries earlier.

He was in there for almost 2 years. It takes a 1000 years for the thing to digest you and look at the wreckage behind The Sarlack pit when he comes out. That's jabas sail barge.The disintegration of that wreckage is definitely longer then two hours. Plus the mandalorian takes place five years after returning the jedi, so two years in the sarlac pit and then three years fucking around in the desert

When Boba gets out, the sail barge is still smoking and looters haven't even shown up yet, considering that we meet them in the evening.

It looks like Boba was knocked unconscious while tumbling in and woke up from either pain or suffocation. The canon sarlacc doesn't appear to be that deep, since slave 1 can just shine a light to the bottom and Boba can lower himself in with a rope

Ngl, the way Boba escaped in Legends was 1000x better. In the old continuity, Boba spent several days trapped inside the Sarlacc, hearing the voice of a Jedi woman who fell into the pit centuries before him. Despite being able to escape after barely managing to activate his jetpack, Boba was left permanently with physical and mental consequences, even losing a leg and developing a malignant tumor, which botchered his career as a bounty hunter for years

In sarlacc pit anyone can stay for thousands of years, cuz sarlacc himself keeps that someone alive, while really slowly consuming them. And all this time all the people in sarlacc aren't even dead
