Climate Crisis: Swollen rivers swallow homes in Bangladesh

Sky's Katerina Vittozzi visits a small village in Bangladesh where the weather has caused the river to swell so high the few homes left are islands.

It's one of the world's most densely-populated countries, with people living along a delta of rivers that empty into the Bay of Bengal.

Two-thirds of the country is less than five metres above sea level, and climate change is threatening the lives and livelihoods of those on the country's coast.

This is news? It happens every year. Always has. No way to avoid it. Living on the combined delta, of three major rivers, that are in full flood, due to snow melt, during the monsoon. Who knew?

I’d be more scared if the climate wasn’t changing.

They said Bangladesh would be first. But will anyone care? Edit: Looking at the comments below. No, no one cares.

Aw, bless those people, I hope they get help from all this destruction. The climate crisis is real and the poorest are suffering the most.
