Once a river crests in an area, the river recedes. Yes, the Mississippi River will leave a muddy mess when it recedes back to his banks here. Keep the "River Rat" in your prayers. They live by the river because they love the Mississippi but often because this is a cheaper place to live. They are some of the kindest and strongest people I have ever met. God Bless Them.

We need to construct a pipeline in flood-prone areas to where it can be pump to drought-stricken areas in the United States. Send all that water to Lake Powell

More reason to build pipes to connect the Mississippi River to the Colorado River.

It's the spring thaw.
Snow melts. It rains for all of the plants to grow.
It floods the great plains.
We get crops in the fall.

Near record highs would be enough to avoid homeownership in that area unless you are on stilts. 😨🤔🤫😐

You had to give your neighbor a heater because you don't want help from the government.

It seems like if it’s not the western border of Iowa that floods it is the eastern border.

I have a feeling the Governor's response to this crisis will be to propose more restrictions on LGBTQ rights.

These are people who denied global warming, denied climate change, they mostly voted for Trump.. and now they want the government to bail them out. How rich.
