Four people found dead as Cyprus battles largest wildfire in its history

Four people were found dead as Cyprus battled to contain the worst forest fire in its history after homes burnt down and at least eight villages were evacuated.

The blaze broke out in the community of Arakapas on Saturday morning before spreading through a mountainous region near the cities of Limassol and Larnaca.

For anyone wondering about how this happened:
A 67 year old man was trying to burn some old crops in his field (which is illegal), the wind was blowing a bit, the only firefighters in the area were called on a completely different location for another smaller fire ( btw there were other firefighters already stationed in that area, so it was very stupid to send a team that was so far away for no reason). Thus, there were no firefighters in the area to respond to the fire, and the fire continued to spread.
