I struggle with this in dating. I get this big dopamine rush when I first start seeing someone and immediately fixate on them, and then when it doesn’t work out, I’m devastated, even if it’s only been a handful of dates. I’m aware that it’s an irrational response, but it so hard for me to handle that I’ve basically given up dating entirely.

Oh I don’t overreact, I’ve seen that look a lot. And it’s obvious when it’s directed at you! Of course, I was doing or saying something dumb, so there’s that.
