I try to encourage myself by taking a baby step into the ‘fear thing.’
Here is an example -
After decades of a toxic marriage I divorced and decided to take what I had, move & purchase a modest home. But my fear based self kept saying, ‘you can’t manage a home by yourself because you lack the skill set to fix everything that could potentially break’ until I observed my 2 grown men neighbors hiring handymen to help with repairs and projects.
I had a false belief that I need to know how to fix everything. The truth is —All I need to know is who to call to come over to fix something.

Yeah that makes sense, our inner child is running from a place of fear and when we as adults grow up with fear of retaliation or shame we don't go for what we want and hence the self-sabotaging behaviour.. thank you Patrick for a very interesting video. 🙂

This so helpful- to know where the giving up or giving in has been coming from

Hmmm. The way to break that cycle? We get to choose how we think about things. We don't have to necessarily believe what our emotions tell us about ourselves and the world around us because of trauma. A + B does not have to necessarily equal C. I have heard the theory that we view our present reality through the lens of our past experiences. Why not use that to our advantage? How would you view the world if your trauma had *not* occurred? Discovering freedom *because* you questioned your self-limiting beliefs is absolutely the goal! Your abusive past does not have to dictate your future! It is all about empowerment! ...In its way, when I started to question what the past told me about the world around me (hypervigilance), that is when healing really started to happen! Susan

Wow!!! This was the first video that opened up on YT. I was just praying about this. This has just awakened my AHA!! Thank you. Now, how do we become whole from this? I feel like my inner child has been running my life and ever since I've been healing my inner child, my adult self feels lost. It's like my inner child has had to be the " child in adult clothes & shoes" showing up to every adult event. Now I'm 50 and I feel like a big kid that's awkward around real adults, if that makes sense. Please help bc I'm new diagnosed ADHD/ND & I'M DROWNING in depression with SI thoughts..😢😢

Mike!! Try making soda on your channel! Some of the fermentation processes are similar (and usually easier) than making alcohol. Then, you can mocktails with the results ✨️😎✨️

Hey! My boss did " kick me out" for asking a moment to talk about a salary for the news tasks she ask me. She is a young entrepreneur, that's why I add so much respect for her (until that). She just dont have schedule to give me anymore, by texto... lol
Does my anger gonna give me the last good push to start my own place ?
🙏

This is reparenting our inner child, right? Or, more correctly, why we need to reparent our inner child?
