Allergies are your body’s reaction to a normally harmless substance such as pollen, molds, animal dander, latex, certain foods and insect stings.

Allergies
Allergies are one of the most common chronic diseases.
About 30 percent of the population in India suffers from some form of allergies.

Allergy is an immune response to substances that are usually harmless; the substances that cause allergic reactions are allergens.

Common Allergies
Some of the common allergens are animals, especially furry animals, food such as milk, gluten, pollen, bites of wasp and bees, pollution, dust mites, molds, household chemicals and sprays, and certain medications.
During an allergic reaction our immune system makes an antibody called immunoglobulin IgE. These antibodies respond to allergens the symptoms that result are an allergic reaction.

Symptoms
The symptoms of allergies are rash, itchy, watery eyes, congestion, sneezing, itchiness, difficulty in breathing and swallowing, abdominal pain, cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness.

The doctor will consider your family and medical history, your symptoms, and may recommend the following tests to make a diagnosis
1. Blood test
