The bottom grilles consist of one speaker and one microphone. Second speaker doubles as the earpiece at the top edge of the screen.

I paid INR 2, 000 to get my speakers cleaned at Apple Care India, the sounds output is like a new phone. They have some kind of a machine and they clean all the speakers and the volume buttons.

Rubbing alcohol should be fine as long as it is >90% since it isn’t conductive. Unless it would damage adhesives or other non-electric parts?
