Been two weeks now after breakup, I started hitting gym twice a day, early morning and late afternoon. Started eating well. Trying to reach out to everyone that I know, friends and family, see them face to face or talk over the phone. Watching these videos for comfort when I feel down. I am slowly moving on from this hell. Not even thinking about going into a new relationship, it's still very raw.

We were together 9 years and we broke up 'mutually' to explore what we wanted as individuals... she got in a new relationship 2 weeks later and they just celebrated their 1st year anniversary... and I'm still working on myself. At first it felt like betrayal, heartbreak and then it became more as a hit to my ego... but now I see she is living the same patterns and codependency that created disruptions in our relationship. And I'm starting to date again, studying something new and even bought my own house... sometimes I still mourn the loss of what we had but ultimately I'm feeling much better off and know I'm blossoming into the person I've always wanted to be... thank you for this confirmation 🙏 appreciated.

Yup, she dumped me after 7 years and “met” a new man only 7 days after she dumped me, I think she was already with him when we were together, but she keeps me dangling on a string, 4 months I’ve been waiting for her, we’ve been intimate twice since she has been with her new man, and keeps me dangling in hopes of her coming back, when I confronted her about cheating on her new man she replied that she doesn’t love him, she loves me and that’s how she justified cheating on him while he was away. This isn’t healthy for me, I’m cutting her off from me today.

The movie Swingers from 1996 covers this stuff. The main characters fiancée left him after 6 years to be with someone else. The whole movie he is in total distress always thinking about her and wishing she would come back. His buddies are all trying to get him out of that rut, and get him to start dating. The whole time he’s not interested in other women and only thinks about her. At the end he meets a new girl and finally let’s go of the past after 6 months of that hell. Then out of nowhere his ex calls him to rekindle things and tells him that she still loves him and thinks of him everyday. At that point he doesn’t want her back and has already moved on to a better woman. That movie is very true to life and has happened to me in the past. Somehow exes won’t reach out until you have moved on and really forget about them. It doesn’t always happen, but it happens quite a bit. Definitely a movie to watch if you’re a guy going through that stuff. I’m in the same boat after a 2 1/2 year relationship ended with her running off with some other guy she knew for a week. I immediately went no contact and disappeared the day of the split. It’s been 2 months and I have just been moving on, hitting the gym, bodybuilding, and talking to new women. Moving on and disappearing is the best thing you can do after betrayal like this.

10 year relationship, 5 year marriage and have a 5 and 7 year old with her. She cheated and divorced within a week and a half and moved 1500 miles away after signing all custody over to me before she left. With a new guy within a week and in love. Me and the kids are all in therapy and probably will be for years from her abuse and then discard of us. Sometimes I think the one selfless thing she ever did was getting out of our lives, doesn’t make it hurt less.
