I thought I read somewhere that poses that cause your blood to backflow, like headstands, happy baby, or legs up wall for example, can be bad, because it encourages blood to pool in the pelvis instead of naturally flowing out of the cervix, and creates clots that trigger cramping since the uterus now has to expel them when you're upright again and the clots are against your cervix.

Have you actually tried these poses while on your period, and do you find they give you relief?

I have endometrium’s cysts and to improve my pelvic pain I started to do yoga and stretching but the next day I had the worst muscle pull/cramp spasm in my lower abdomen. Is it because I may have done the exercise wrong and pulled something or should I continue doing these stretches to ease pain on my left side where the cyst is? 🥹
