I appreciate the breakdown! I think it's incredibly important for people to understand these predatory monetary practices and it's great of you to explain this. I was interested in Lost Ark, but this is far too p2w/grind to earn for me.

FYI I bought the limited 10% bonus crystal pack and did not receive any bonus crystals.

Do note that anything that is in blue crystals can be bough through gold exchange which you can easily earn as F2P. So the aura can definitely be bought easily by a F2P player.

If your goal is to beat the hardest boss faster than anyone else, then yes it is P2W game. If you don't mind progressing slower than P2W players in pve and enjoy equalized ranked pvp, then it is NOT P2W at all. As casual players you really don't need to buy any of these pay-2-skip cash items at all, you will still enjoy high-end raids a patch later with really good catch up system that Smilegate provides every time. P2W players literally have ZERO advantage in pvp. So don't worry about them stomping you. Stay calm and play the game casually. Don't judge the entire game by the cash shop. Almost all long time LA players recommend new players not to spend money on pay-2-skip items. If you truly want to support the devs, buy cosmetics instead.

If your 'win' is becoming top ranker in this game as soon as possible, it is definitely absolute "pay to win" . you may spend more than 1억. But, your definition of 'win' is step by step growing your character, enjoy combat against boss, enjoy contents and story, THIS IS FUCKING FREE to play GAME. I usually spend about 20 dollars to buy some skins, IT MAKES ME HAPPY !!!! For me, 'Win' means becoming HAPPY. oh, in this case, this is PAY to WIN(BE HAPPY). There's no NO NO PAIN of not paying real money, unless you wanna become RANK 1~100~or something in THIS ARKESIA. (From Korea, Korean user, I know Payment system is whole different in every country, BUT . BUT. Actually, We even think that "why smilegate give more to other country's people ?" But we have trust on this game and the director, so we are like "nevermind." )

5 times 20% chance doesn't give you 100% chance to obtain an item. it gives you probability of ~67%. do your math correctly.
and you didn't answer the question in the title. is it pay to win or not. disliked.

You are all over the place. Here is my friendly advice to you. Please be more organize, one topic, one category at a time.

You sound very genuine, yet you choose to omit the part of the information that is not helpful to your argument.

First, You cannot spend 24, 000 Blue Crystals on that item, because it has a weekly purchase limit of 3. I wonder why you failed to mention that.
What you have presented is a very skewed examples in extreme case. If you take a closer look at the store, you will see that all items that involves any sort of RNG element have very low purchase limit. The system is in place to prevent players from falling into those "long, dark road" you mentioned.
...As well as completely omitting the part where a FTP players can buy more than enough Blue Crystals with in-game currency to buy the RNG item up to its purchase limit, without having to spend a single dollar.
