Today we take a look at Lost Ark. A free to play isometric MMORPG from Smilegate & Tripod Studio to see if its possible to play the game completely for free without spending a dime.

Two things I wanted to mention that I missed when I recorded this video.

1) The game does allow you to exchange in game gold for crystals in the cash shop (could be a good thing depending on how hard it is to obtain gold).

2) There are ways to boost armor at endgame through the cash shop (this could be one of the biggest P2W aspects of the game)

I saw asmongold reaction about lsot ark made by russian guy(i think russian or similar language country) pay to win, pvp is non sense cuz you have instant end game features, what the point of playing this game? I cant find it out

It's a korean mmo... managed by Amazon.
If you need anymore reason to not play a game, I don't know what to tell you.

This game is a blast, one of the best combat systems in any MMO that I've played, the endgame raids are also very cool and require teamwork to complete. Been playing since feb launch and am entirely f2p cept for the founders pack and some cosmetics, most things can be earned in game and you can use gold to convert it to blue crystals. I'm a 1537 bard and have several alt characters. Nothing in the game has made mee want to spend money to get better or anything like that, I've earned it all just by playing the game.

They frequently give out free stuff all the time and have many events and things going on that give you materials or other things, this game is one of the most friendly games when it comes to f2p imo.

Very honest review, highly appreciated.
The game haven't even launched properly yet and they allowed people to buy 100€ "packs" with Skins, Mount/Pet, Gear, Currency etc. This by itself says something :P
What did you people expect? It is pay to win, end of story. Does this pay to win element buff a player that much? We don't know yet.
Let's try it out, give it a couple of weeks/months and we can take a decision then.
Don't forget all the cool games that are coming this year. You won't be left with nothing to play if Lost Ark doesn't prove as perfect as these youtubers want us to believe.
Like they did with New World - I was so sure that game will fail despite all those videos, because it was lacking a good Story. It doesn't have to be an epic story like
The Witcher's but You can't play an RPG if you have no true enemy to build hate against. There were other issues aswell but for me, that particular one was the reason I quit at level 25.
We'll see how long Lost Ark will keep me. I'll probably start playing next week, once the initial hype is gone and servers are stable.

At the beginning I was happy that you get pets, mounts and reinforcement materials for free. However, this only works up to item level 1300+. Then you only get gold and reinforcement materials from Daylis+Weeklys once a week through the raids. But that's exactly how it was calculated there is always something missing and you feel compelled to buy it in the shop. Different currencies are supposed to cover up what it really costs. And improving the equipment becomes really expensive from item level 1300+. 1000 weapon stones, 40 jump stones and 700 gold. So about 3000 gold for a try. And 90% it's always a fail. After a year I have 7 chars, Main is Itemlevel 1467+6x 1415.
As a F2P player it takes me 8-10h every day to do all daylis and earn maybe 1 try per day to enchant my Geer. Lost Ark is a real rip off machine that is only geared towards getting your money. It feels you everywhere at any time. Nothing is ever done for the player. On the contrary, it is made difficult for the players to be able to write to the support at all. I have now uninstalled this filthy game and am happy about it.

Everyone wants to be the highest item rating asap...
As a full f2p, im on 1340 and got about 10-15 mounts. And they just delayed the content again so why i want pay to get to the top? To wait for the content? Paying is "just" a time saver imo. (Maybe ill change my opinion sometime...idk)

Honestly, its sad to say I have given 400 hours into this game. And as much as I hate this game, I understand why people play it. From how heavy "Pay to Progress" the game is, it looks nice and the gameplay is great. But for the players that can comprehend what a waste of time and money this game is. Leave it alone. Modern gaming at its peek.

Just like mu legends and devilion, also it's p2w you can pay to for max ear and it will take two days while farming to get to not even end game could take 1-2 years.

So you get gold =Blue gem =Royal Gems All you have to do is go thru the currency exchange system in-game The Blue Gems you get just playing the game as well the only thing you might have to pay real money is the Royal Gems you are so not give the right info at all

The game has the same albion online exchange currency so you can literally get everthing here. Also pvp is equalized. Except for GVG which they will about to change

If your 'win' is becoming top ranker in this game as soon as possible, it is definitely absolute "pay to win" . you may spend more than 1억. But, your definition of 'win' is step by step growing your character, enjoy combat against boss, enjoy contents and story, THIS IS FUCKING FREE to play GAME. I usually spend about 20 dollars to buy some skins, IT MAKES ME HAPPY !!!! For me, 'Win' means becoming HAPPY. oh, in this case, this is PAY to WIN(BE HAPPY). There's no NO NO PAIN of not paying real money, unless you wanna become RANK 1~100~or something in THIS ARKESIA. (From Korea, Korean user, I know Payment system is whole different in every country, BUT . BUT. Actually, We even think that "why smilegate give more to other country's people ?" But we have trust on this game and the director, so we are like "nevermind." )
