Per AMP RIDES, Bafang has detuned their new motors as of December 2020. The Amp Rides Volt base models will now achieve an average of 25 mph, Amp Rides has announced they are working on branding out so they can get motors in limited bikes, and they may move off the base factory lineup completely by September once they have the models moved over that can achieve the higher speeds again.

Marlon, you did a heck of a job here and while I think that the bike in many ways sells itself, your observations were very helpful in confirming to me that this bike checks off a lot of boxes and is a pretty good value, Thanks!

Thanks Marlon, good job on this! One thing: I believe when you are holding down the throttle (as I see you doing up that hill and earlier on the flat), the controller will give you full motor power. It doesn't really matter what peddle-assist level you are set at. Throttle is giving you all the power it has, unless you limit that via a setting, which I don't think is the case in the default set up.

I like your reviews focused on real-world use rather than spending ages on how to program the display or filming gear changes or filming yourself pedal - that's all useless stuff that doesn't help us make any real-world decisions. The wheels are great. I like when an e-bike stands apart from an analog bike.
The only suggestion I have is that you look up when doing a speed or incline run and only occasionally looking down at the display, as, its easy to perceive speed if we see you looking ahead but its harder to perceive it looking at a number on a display. Just so our eye can catch that horizon.
Other than that, its a great review of a brand I didn't know exists. Great job. Take care..

Yup, Fla the only state that a highway viaduct/bridge could be considered a mountain...LOL...Thanks for your reviews, this bike is in my top 3 choices to purchase...Hemiway and Hyper Scorpion are the other two....Take it out on the Skyway Bridge Park, that will give you a huge hill to climb it on(I don't remember if they have a pedestrian lane, I loved camping out there when I was a rig driver)....
