I talked to Josh today and he helped me with an issue on a non related brand they don’t sell. Because he is the best customer service and product knowledgeable individual I have spoken with in the industry to date. I will talk to him again tomorrow and place and order for a Volt.

Thanks for taking the time to ride our bikes. FYI kickstand has height adjustment screw on back. Dual piston brakes on standard model. Quad piston Tektro or Gemma on Elite package. We also use this drivetrain in various other frames including a step thru.

I totally agree with your idea of feeling safer by being able to go faster. I unlocked my Kepler for that very reason. At 20 mph, I felt like I was constantly being threatened by cars zipping past me. I ride mostly in 25 mph residential zones, and with my bike now able to go 30 mph, I don't hesitate to pull out into traffic to prevent cars from racing right next to me.

Citizen Cycle just got bike and figured out that the 48v charger was sent by factory to you guys so the 52v/25ah battery was only charging to 54v instead of 58.8v. If you had that extra 8% of battery plus it would have been more powerful.

Have you ever ridden on a Wired e-bike, if not you need to try one, not only fast and powerful, the cost is 1999.99 and is an excellent ride.

Great review. I personally wanted a folding bike because I could transport it without a rack. Yes. It’s heavy but the ability to fold and put a couple of these bikes in the back of the SUV is golden to me. Plus I don’t have to buy a rack, one that can actually hold the weight, and less of a worry of being stolen. Just saying

I live in a studio apartment and had 3 folding fat tire bikes at once. One of them weighed 75 lbs (Aventon Sinch w/ accessories). Carried them all up 3 flights of stairs as well. Trust me, it helps.

I still can't find any person that owns any Amp Rides bikes over 750 watts that actually have done some review of their bike.. Not a Demo

Subscribed! I also watch David Brand New since his first video because I am a Lectric e-Bike supporter and David is just good at making banger videos. This bike you are showing us looks badass. Great video, I just subscribed. You make great content. Like David, I can see you put quite a bit of effort to make a good video that people like to watch. I enjoyed your video like David's videos with you and your twist on a story line. You covered it in depth. Much appreciated. Not bad. I will keep watching. --chris

Thanks for the review bud! Would you lock this bike up on the streets of NYC for a few hours at a time with no worries of theft or vandalism? Need a fast foldable bike w/long range so I can get to my jobs to in the city then throw it in the backseat of my elantra to drive an hour home. Two things stopping me is the thought of theft and the 2023 version only has matte blue and green left 🤢 was hoping for matte black. but they umped it up to 30ah! If i cant get a black, I’m going with the Wallke 6. Hope you can review that some day!

I really like your review style, so count me in as a new subscriber! If we were suddenly not allowed to mod our bikes, I would make a beeline for this bike. Of course, if regulations on e-bikes clamped down that hard, they also wouldn't allow more than 750 watts, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it 😉. Wattage is an outdated method of limiting speed, and it's much better to have the speed limited electronically anyways if you have to.

I needed my bike to fold so I can put it IN the car, so that was one of my requirements from the start. Interestingly, I modded my bike so it fits that sweet spot of my ideal bike, and the 1500W Volt is VERY similar, so props to Amp Rides. The extra power is a safety feature, and has literally saved my life when encountering a drunk driver careening through a parking lot. As a kid, I still remember my dad getting on freeway ramps in an original VW bus, and it was always a tense event simply because you could never get up to a safe merging speed. A lot of e-bikes riding in traffic feel the same way to me, and when I take the lane, I'd rather be thinking "Come on, bring it!" instead of "Did I sign my will?".

I take my Ariel Rider Kepler in and out of my house very easily. Up steps down steps 26x4 tires..even bigger than the bike in your video. 74 lbs .

Mine is on its way!

Where is that wide trail in the hills at the beginning of your video?

What helmet are you wearing?

35 seems to fast for a pedal bike ? I think it will piss others waking on the trail taking a leisure walk. Or regular riders just hitting speeds of maybe 15 and then someone flies by at 35 in this bike ? I got the class one ampride that cuts out at 20 mph. that seems fast enough for a bike. Tho at times i wish it would hit 25. I love to bike, mine was 1000 dollars less then the newer faster amprides.

So how does this stack up with the Ariel Rider X-Class? They both appear to be about the same price.

I love the Sky Blue color and white wall fat tires, it reminds me of a Honda C90 Superbike, but ohmigod the sticker shock of $2500, not worth it. Not even if it were a middrive. That kind of price gouging pushes me into the build my own exactly the way I want it category... :-/ When you price yourself out of your own market, you kind of shoot yourself out of business.

I mean, how are you going to compete against a used Honda Rebel CMX250 that goes for $800 to $1200 on Craigslist with 80mph / 120mile range / 60mpg ... AMP, that's what you are competing against.... with a bike with half the speed and a fifth of the range but twice the cost. Not going to fly off the shelves... :-/

Even at the same price, I'd take a Honda Rebel CMX250 or a Honda C90 SuperCub over this ebike any day... both of those are just more robust and beefier with along, long reputation of indestructible swiss watch reliability. They are downsized motorcycle and a moped not upsized bicycle. Both of those smoke this bike.

And sitting on a Honda Rebel seat with legit adjustable suspension is like sitting on a comfy couch that just fits right, like an old pair of worn in sneakers, versus this kind of bike seat which is like sitting on a hard bench. That cushy seat looks cushion until you actually sit on it and your bones go right down to the metal lol. I know, I have both... the bike you feel everything right up through yoru seat and the handle bars.

An apples to oranges comparison I know, but that's what you're up against, the big established dawgs with a long tenured track record that go back... 40 years as tried and true. If you're the new kid on the block, that's who you are going to have to beat as an ebike... the Honda Rebel and Honda SuperCub
