Maybe the Ovaries Should Stay

Показать описание
Hysterectomy patients who keep both ovaries have a slightly lower risk of heart disease. I'm Erin White and this is a dailyRx Minute. The surgical removal of a woman's uterus, or hysterectomy, can, but does not always, include the removal of one or both ovaries. Women who have their ovaries and uterus removed before hitting age 50 and who did not take estrogen therapy have a higher risk for heart disease and lung cancer. Ask your doctor about your hysterectomy. For dailyRx TV, I'm Erin White.
