Does Tanning From UV Exposure From The Sun Cause DNA Damage | MaximumSkin

A tan is a result of your cells trying to protect you from the damage caused by UV exposure (whether that’s the sun, tanning beds, etc).

Now, I’m not saying to live under a rock for the rest of your life, but if your main concern is to get a tan, might I suggest some self-tanners?

Self-tanners are a great way to tan your skin, without all the DNA damage that increases your risk of developing melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancer.

Protect the largest organ in the human body with some sunscreen!

Ps: no, wearing sunscreen does not stop your from getting vitamin D.

She looks like the kinda person that would say “the sun isn’t damaging” 💀💀

I don't specifically try to get tanned, but I spend a lot of time outside. Usually, my skin colour stays the same but during summer I get quite a bit darker, is that alright, or do I have cancer?

Lol. I can already see her skin damage. She likely looks way older than she otherwise would.

Please tell me the original video is taken down? Misinformation is spreading like wildfire, these days.
