Some doors have pins that can't be removed (fix pin hinge) they will have a dome on the top like all pins have but the difference is they have a dome on the bottom of the pin as well. If you can't get the pins out without breaking some thing then I suggest you remove all the screws from hinge plate. It's not as quick that way but at least you will still have a door without a hammer hole in it.

It's good to know that Ikea hex keys are useful, lol. Yes you can use anything to knock the pin up with but on stubborn pins a nail punch works well as it won't bend or break.

Did not have a nail punch so used a metal tent peg upended. Also could have used old ikea hex key. Thanks for the pointy nose plier tip. I actually did have one of those. Thanks Aldi.

yeah i ended up doing that. it really didnt take any time at all. and i was just kidding about breaking my door. lol. and they didnt have a cover on the bottom, i could see the pin. it just wouldnt budge
