I recently started going to the gym, and my go to machine is the Elliptical. Trying to work myself into the whole working out routine. I usually just get in the machine and go. Glad I saw the core workout. Gonna give it a try. Thanks!

Another tip that really makes the elliptical a lot more effective. When you push down on the pedals, instead of standing tall and using the momentum of the elliptical to carry yourself to the next stride, instead pull your butt down and back a little, kind of like you're sitting down, then pedal. Make sure the strides are smooth. Don't make a stride, let the momentum carry you, and pedal with the other foot at the very last second so that you're just keeping the momentum going. Make sure to pedal at the very beginning of the stride. It's like 35 percent more effective and will burn your quads quick.

I'm going to workout on my elliptical. This too is always a great workout to loose weight it tones arms and legs while you burn fat as well. This is a great whole body workout along with the treadmill.🙂👍👍

Im glad you suggested to her to go hands-free. I think that makes it a true lower body workout. Much harder on the lower body than when resting the hands or pushing with the arms.

Its embarressing maybe to be watched going hands free but...boy its the real deal!

i ussually get 20 minutes a day on that machine at home... 😁 it makes me sweat a much better than any cardio machine and less or non possible injury 👍

I always felt like the elliptical was for people that didn't want to run or were too fat to, now that I had gotten fat and back to skinny I totally understand how much more effective the elliptical is than a treadmill, something about it just melts fat especially when you're doing what most people don't and include diet
