The focus of this workout is athletic cardio and to get your heart rate up we are working hard to use sports to drive us! NO equipment needed and we will be working for 45 seconds, 30 seconds, 20 second intervals and and resting for 15 and 10 seconds. Be ready to move quickly with me! Equipment I use on my channel:

*Please take note that calories burned vary for every individual depending on multiple factors (e.g. age, body weight, heart rate, height, effort intensity, etc). Any slight variation in any of these factors can dramatically alter the amount of calories you burn. I calculate all of my calories using an Apple Watch 4 with the High Intensity Interval Training Workout application and I am 28 years old, 5’8”, and weigh 145lbs so you can use my few factors as well as my intensity level to gauge yourself.

In this workout you are training with me, Sydney Cummings, owner of Royal Change and NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I am a fitness trainer is Charlotte, North Carolina and was a Division 1 athlete at West Virginia University where I was a national qualifying high jumper. I use my knowledge from my NASM certifications, bachelor’s degree, nursing school experience, and my elite athletic background to lead you through workouts designed to make you a stronger, more balanced athlete. My goal is to get you closer to your goals with each workout!

These types of workouts are helping me be less depressed about living alone again and encouraging me to be more productive. I have been exercising for years (almost 50) with experience in a wide range of resistance and cardio programs. This workout was easily one of, if not the, BEST, pure cardio I have done in a while. Amazing job Sydney.

I didn’t know this workout was a sports Tabata workout until I jumped into it!! Sports Tabatas are my FAVORITE!! SO much fun, great variety, and of course I left the workout as a puddle on the floor 🥵. LOVED it!!

Sydney, I CRUSHED IT! I've been doing mostly longer interval workouts lately, so it was nice to do a Tabata cardio. I really felt the intensity, and the rest periods let me recover to come back strong for the next interval. 🔥My heart rate was up ⬆the whole time, and it was a fantastic workout! I love the sports theme, it's always so fun! 👍
