I'm not going to give up and give the doubters the satisfaction of being right. I'll just have to keep pushing, self educating, and networking if I ever hope to make it.

At the beginning of the video I was: oh fuck, I don't need this shit in my life right now. By the end of the video I was like: fuck, this shit is exactly what I need in my life!

This is a really great motivation video thank you Bobby! I just got my Associates degree in Digital Art last year right before my 26th birthday. I felt like, "ugh I'm getting too old for college what if I have already lost my chances of becoming a great artist?" Well I pushed past it and now I'm headed for my BA in Animation this fall, I will be 28 almost 29 when I graduate but it was the journey I had to take to get here. It makes us all unique my struggles shape my art and my storytelling. Everyone takes the path they need to, never give up on yourself.

You have touched a subject that not much people talk about and for that i thank you, i am 30 years old and learning, working a full time job in the morning and studying at night (two completely different fields from each other) and i am fully aware of the challenges and how this is not an easy thing to do and what sacrifices has to be made for this, but i do believe it's achievable and i have a strong belief that learning is simply a non-stop process regardless of age and skill. again thank you.

I'll speak for Schoolism a bit! I'm 27, a college graduate, working professionally in a business job, and I bought 2 subscriptions last fall after a year or so of buying subscriptions on many sites just trying to figure out what I would like to focus on. 3D, VFX, ect. While I'm only just passing through the very beginning of what I would consider now a life pursuit, hearing working professionals tell you exactly like it is takes so much of the struggle out of learning. I don't know about anyone else, but I would spend hours trying to find the *right* tutorial or lesson just to figure out what I wanted to actually do, and end up with 5 hours of youtube under my belt. I needed something exciting to work on, something I knew would wake me up hours before my office job, and something I knew would help because of how much I admire the work of the person teaching me. Schoolism does it, so if you're serious, and I mean serious, I would highly recommend it. I have frequent talks with my brother who does lighting and compositing for a show at dreamworks, and just from our conversations I know that what I am learning is the *right stuff* for the job, so just maybe I will join him there someday.

Thanks Bobby for the constant motivation, and thanks schoolism crew for the depth of knowledge you all share!

Haha, I realize youre just baiting with the title, but it hits home for those that worry a bit about it. I'm 37. In the not too distant past it has made me worry. However after taking a stand and taking the bitter pill and actually DOING the daily practice, a year later has resulted in actually being up there with the young competition. It CAN be done!! :D

I learned more in the schoolism digital painting class than my first 2 years in art college from both the content and critique. In terms of investment, I got way more for my money from schoolism.
