Love this remake of this classic song. Can't believe it came out 50 years ago. Don McLean still has a good voice for his age. And love hearing all the guys take a turn in a verse. Poor Adam had to do such a long stretch of beatboxing but he nailed it. Think the song is about 8 min. long. Don McLean just received his Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame recently & Home Free was invited to sing a portion of this song there. What an honor for them.

I love it when Home Free sings itself with other musicians. This is a great remake and Don still has a fantastic voice. You can easily forget that there are no instruments.

This is an *ICONIC* song...the song of my generation. This was released by Don McLean on Oct 24th, 1971, and was considered as a top 10 song by Billboard of the 20th Century. The lyrics are littered with metaphors that people still debate today, 50 years alter. Who was the Jester ? Most people think it was Bob Dylan....who was the King & Queen ? Many folks think it's refering to Elvis Presley & his wife Priscilla. The quartet in the park, is no doubts The Beatles. Don McLean reached out to Home Free to create this collab with them, because he trusted them to do an awesome job...and they didn't disappoint him at all.

I actually remember "The Day the Music Died "....FEB 3/1959...we all cried ..!!
This song for most of us is NOT one of fun or jubilation but extreme sadness ...& that's how Don McLean meant it to be.
Would have loved to see more respect paid to this iconic song....especially at the end.

This is my favorite collaboration they have ever done. I love all the others so much too. Adam Rupp almost passed out while doing this song. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

It’s a very long song. Don sounded great for 75! I loved the video. Loved the boxes - reminded me of shadow boxes you keep your memories in. Loved all the boys singing. Don McLean was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and invited the boys to the celebration. They sang the song there too. Good reaction Lyfe.

I was nine years old when this song came out.... it impacted my little brain like no other song ever had. It helped define me as a youth....and carried it in my heart .... it's still there.

If you Google this song it gives you many interpretations of what it means. Mostly that a lot of music died with the deaths of John Lennon, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Janis Joplin and others. But Home Free really paid homage to Don McLean. And helped him get his star on the Hollywood walk of fame. They came and sang at his ceremony. Thanks for the reaction. ✌❤
