The proposal to eliminate the Royal Hospital tells you all you need to know about their attitude to veterans of the armed forces. When you have homeless vets, sleeping on the streets is bad enough. We need to protect the Chelsea Hospital, it is of great importance to the nation and for veterans being their home. The Chelsea pensioners play an important roll in royal ceremonies, Chelsea Flower show and other charitable events. and they contribute to the interest of tourist which increases money to UK. Closing the hospital would be fatal, it has so much history and the residents are all proud members who have earned, and hard earned, to live there and continue to serve in various ways (in the form of instructions and information points etc.) Let these people live on there.

Pensioners, Vets, and the hard working British people should come first, they pay the taxes. Foreign aid second. Canada, under Trudeau, has the very same problem. That's my take.

love this trooper in keeping the tourists back. ALL guards should take note and follow his lead. I hope that the rumor you heard is true John that lines are painted. It would make the guards duty a lot less stressful in having to pull reins or shout at tourists and it's way safer. John, you language is fine. Trust me, I can be very colorful at times. Usually it is with stupid fools. As I have aged I have less and less patience. Guess it's a good thing the daughter didn't leave us any little ones to raise. If I could I would come to London, it is one of the few places I have always wanted to visit. I am always amazed at some of the tourists' behavior. I guess I have more respect for animals and have been around more in my life than most folks. Your government is sounding more and more like the US government. They also started small with cigarettes outside. We let them close VA hospitals. NOW they are realizing slowly that they have huge problems of homeless vets. All of the "small" changes are connected and cumulative. I love your cheeky humour!! Keep it up!
