According to Singaporean media reports, a spate of ten break-ins occurred recently in upscale residential areas, with the stolen goods valued at approximately $3 million USD. About one third worth of stolen items have been recovered.
Preliminary investigations by Singapore police indicate that these thefts are linked to a Chinese crime syndicate that specifically targeted Singapore for these operations, with each member playing distinct roles in the robberies.
The suspects entered Singapore at different times and from various locations in China, just one or two days before committing the crimes. Police believe the group was divided into small teams, with some scouting and identifying targets, others breaking into homes, and others transporting the stolen goods.

I do not believe it’s to do with stress and discrimination on Chinese women, this is about upbringing and manners 👍👍👍

An overstayed Chinese tourist in the Philippines was in the process of being deported when she started hitting the custom officer at the airport. Having received multiple hits from the tourist, the officer retaliated by slapping her back really hard.

I'm a Singaporean Chinese. Recently I visited Hokkaido and went to a local souvenir shop, the shopkeeper treated me coldly. Probably thinking that I'm from Mainland China. After buying some items, I gave her my red passport for Duty Free Tax refund. She smiled and surprised that I'm from S'pore. She told me that she had visited our country and liked it. She also mentioned liking Ice Kacang dessert and other local food. This make me happy and proud to be a Singaporean.
Being well-behaved and respectful tourists do give a good impression to other countries you're visiting.

Notice that when the man punched the deer on the snout-the son also "hit" the deer to emulate the father. The issue is generational and will be hard to balance.

It’s a cultural problem. Lack of respect.

With such abhorrent behavior and lack of manners, visa-free status for Chinese tourists should be revoked by every country

I am from Singapore.

I remember some years back, during Christmas there was a Christmas-themed event at Sentosa and there was a beautiful gazebo which a lot of people were queuing up for their turn to pose and snap photographs inside it.

When it came to I and my family’s turn, we spent a few minutes inside the gazebo snapping away pics. Even though we were inside for less than a minute, this elderly Chinese tourist just shamelessly walked in and sat down, while her family outside snapped pictures of her. Everybody before us, including the American, British and Australian tourists all waited very patiently for the gazebo to be empty, no matter how long it took for the people inside to photograph their fill.

I wanted to yell at her to get out but my father stopped me since “it was Christmas” and she wasn’t within the camera’s line of sight nonetheless. Looking back I wished I had really done it.

I used to believe in the stereotype that Western tourists are bad but today I find Western tourists the complete opposite of that. In fact they are even more polite and respectful to the local culture and settings more than Chinese tourists.

That's why Chinese tourists often face a lack of respect worldwide, yet many in China attribute this to racial discrimination by foreigners....

Why let them leave their country.
They should not leave their country when they cannot behave.

Oh its worse for the woman in the hospital... she was in Singapore illegally, lied on her Visa application saying she was working for a company that had never heard of her, she attacked the police, and made claims online she was actually a "hostess" and was abusing Singapore laws. She had a history of attacking Singaporeans thinking she was superior to everyone.

This happened in Singapore, where I was working in retail and then this chinese tourist, who can speak some english told me to learn chinese. I straight up told him "you should learn English".
The audacity to tell me a local to speak chinese when he could have learn to improve on his subpar English which will be useful for him almost anywhere he goes in the world.

And then there's another one who asks me for a scissor. When i gave it to him, he started cutting his fingernails. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I think people in China are more concerned about status and money that trampling on others or throwing their weight around is justifiable to them.

They should be banned from traveling abroad and all passports revoked, disgusting behaviour.

I thought Singapore treated such infractions with more severe consequences. At Versailles, Chinese tourists pushed past tour groups rudely. At the time, I simply thought it was because the youths were used to the necessity of pushing ahead in crowded China in order to get anywhere. From all I've seen since, the Chinese people aren't simply unaware but are purposely rude and freely engage in criminal acts.

Singapore is the last place tourists should be misbehaving.

I find it incredible that when you are in China the people rightfully say, “Please follow our customs.” But when those same people leave they're rude and obnoxious to any other culture.

Problem is that when Mao took over, he basically destroyed the hundreds of years of rich chinese culture.
