After 16 years of experience with my son's seizures, my only edit to this would be to TURN PERSON'S FACE TO THE SIDE ASAP SO HE DOES NOT SWALLOW THAT EXCESS SALIVA (ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA IS HORRIBLE). Other than that-GREAT videao!!!

This has got to be the best EPILEPSY example of A B C'S that I've seen. Not only do I have epilepsy but I'm a medic as well. Thank you for this video. Sometimes just letting people know what to do makes it not so scary.

People just need a little bit of education. A total stranger wants to help just needs the tools.

This is an excellent example of a seizure. (That actor deserves a raise.)

My son at 32 years just started having these seizures. He had his first one in August of 2022, and was blown off for 10 months by these doctors in Denver. They didn't take any of this seriously, and I finally decided to put a camera in his room and see if we could catch one. After numerous ambulance visits, we finally had one and then a second one on video. If it wasn't for this camera in his room, I couldn't have called an ambulance quicker as they got to him before I did. He now has an epileptologist which I recommend, and we are building a team with a neuropsychiatrist, a neurologist, and a great support system. Because he's had so many and has fallen, causing his face to be swollen and bruised many times, my anger at the health care system is that they didn't take this seriously sooner. Anyone working with a loved one who has these, please be patient and don't ever give up on them. They need your understanding, your patience, especially with some of these drugs that are absolutely horrific. He was on keppra originally and we had to pull him off of it because he became psychotic. Change medications if they're not working, be clear and consistent about how the person is feeling and don't ever give up. We're going to get to the end of this and I'm sorry any of you are having to deal with any of this.

This is by far the clearest and best guide for how to handle seizures. Thanks a bunch for making this!

I've watched dozens of videos on human and animal seizure. This is the first time Tonic Colonic has been explained. Thank you! I had a brother who had seizures, so I didn't fear them, so when my Chihuahua has seizures I can remain calm and give her comfort during a stressful time for her. Thank you again for this helpful videp.

Thank you so much for producing such a simple, informative, and perfect video. I have epilepsy and this has to be the most succinct way to inform people around me what to do if it happens. Just about everybody assumes they should cram something in my mouth during a grand mal and I have to preemptively warn them not to do so, and that's a dangerous misconception that needs to be widely corrected. Thank you to the producers, director, the actors, and everyone responsible for filming it from the bottom of my heart. It's wholly appreciated!

I used to have seizures that weakened my right side motor functions. I had a quarter sized tumor in my left brain, and I suffered 8 years of small barely visible seizures, till 4th grade. They got worse. It sucked, but the best part about it was, the public school I went to put up signs everywhere, with instructions on how to help a seizing person. Me and my friend phoebe both were super grateful for it. I got a craniotomy in 5th grade and now I'm fine and dandy! If i ever become a teacher, I'm gonna teach kids how to help somebody in this situation.

Waking up from a seizure is a lot like waking up from surgery, with the exception of the fact that epileptics usually have no idea at all what has happened. Often they don’t even realize anything happened at all.

The best way to explain chronic tonic seizures. I have epilepsy since I was born. And I used to have over 30 seizures a day when i was younger. But now it's under control.

Ondy thing I don't like about this video, is that it does not have enough views. This needs at least 5 million views
