I can relate to a seizure disorder / epilepsy, because I also, have a seizure disorder, and it terribly makes you sick, and if one has never experienced someone who is having a seizure or has a seizure disorder, it is hard to explain what seizures feels like, when a seizure is happening. Seizures can cause death dependent upon the severeness of a seizure, and the type of seizure a seizure disorder should be taken serious, that when needed, get to the nearest ER before it is too late, especially if the person whom is in the act of a seizure, and the seizure lingers on, that is when one needs immediate medical attention. There are occasions that the meds one is taking, one's body outgrows that particular Med or meds, and the person suffering from a seizure disorder, his or her doctor has to wean him or her off of that particular man, and wean him or her onto another medication that works better, to better control, the seizure disorder, and maybe the milligrams needs to be readjusted as well. One can live a normal life as long as he or she takes responsibilities in taking his or her seizure meds, and on time everyday. It is always a good suggestion, let's say, , one may take his or her medicine at 8:00 in the morning then follow the same time every day. Now, if the person takes his or her meds several times each day for his or her seizure disorders, follow suit, and take his or her meds exactly the same time every day, that way he or she will not forget to take his or her meds. It doesn't take long for a medication to run its course before it's time to take the next dose. So it's always a good idea to follow a good pattern to take once meds at the same time every day.

Coming from a mother who has dealt with my son and his seizures, looking at Alfie just breaks my heart. These are the worst seizures I've ever seen. My son's were bad but not like this. My prayers are with you sweet boy.

I lost my brother in 2015 from this seizure, it still hurts like it was yesterday. I pray to god that this man gets all the help he deserves in Jesus name.

This video makes me cry sometimes because I know the pain this chap has gone (and is still going) through. NOTHING in the world can 'prepare' you for a seizure. It can strike at any time with or without warning. I salute this man for being so brave. May us all be united in our collective fight against Epilepsy. 🙏

There is a HUGE difference between holding a patient during a seizure.. and holding him down..

This beautiful video demonstrates that perfectly..

Throughout.. the incredible man in blue correctly holds Alfie.. cradling him gently .. giving him comfort.. protecting his head .. not restricting him in any way..

Textbook case of doing exactly the right things to ensure the patients protection and comfort..

Well done!💜💙

Very upsetting to watch. I never imagined how horrific such a seizure could be.
Thank you & especially the patient for allowing us to witness the effects of a epileptic seizure..❤️

Prayers with Love & Care for You & your family. I know It's painfully hard. Because it is to me & my family. I'm in my late 40's & I have epilepsy history throughout my life since I was a wee child. I went through all kinds of seizures. Absent Seizure to Grand Mal Seizure, etc. Basically, A to Z. I've been taking my medication 3x a day since I was a wee child for the rest of my life. This year got me a few times & it was Absent Seizure. I survived from my Absent Seizure on June 6, 2022 as that story is on hold for now. So far after June, no seizure came. It took my dearest mother with drs to get my epilepsy under control for 14 years or so, when I was a child. I can't remember exactly how many years as it could be 20 years. Anyway, I'm still surviving it with my other medical issues in my life, too. I hope you'll keep on fighting this & keep on living your life. Giving out my virtual loving hugs!!🙏🏻💕🫂🤟🏼

Stay strong young man. My son is 39. He has grand mal seizures. It took a long while to get the right dose of keppra to get the seizures under control.
One thing I can offer about that to anyone working through medication to control their seizures is to give the medication side effects time to taper down. The side effects will lessen given time and the benefit of being seizure free is worth it.
