Don't feel ashamed to low-ball and haggle for a low price/interest rate that you would feel comfortable paying without feeling squeezed. Interest rates are on a downward trend.

lol being in the industry and knowing it well, I’m telling you, no one is going to ever give you a good discount over the phone/internet. You want something, go find someone you like to deal with all your vehicle needs and just haggle and buy

Feels like this could be done on a centralized or standardized website. Going through potentially many email messages seems archaic for both buyer and seller.

This is a good strategy. I've used this before and got a great price on a 5th gen 4Runner.

I did exactly what she said and still got ripped off. Yes I got the lowest price but none of the options I wanted. Car manufactuers are only making cars with certain options and the car dealers don't want to sell what they haven't ordered. Also prices on sedans have not come down this year. The only prices that have come down are large (gas guzzling) vehicles.
